Today: There will be a retiral collection for African Missions and Holy Places after both Masses. This is split between the Vatican for use in African countries where the Church needs financial support and the Holy Land where it is used to maintain the Christian sites and support pastoral work with both Christian and non-Christian groups.
Today: A new Altar Servers’ rota has been prepared. Please collect your copy after Mass from the Sacristy.
Sunday: Over the holiday period, some parishioners and one of the normal groups have agreed to run a reduced menu with teas coffees and biscuits/croissants available in the Hall after Mass. So why not go round to the hall and find out what is on offer.
Sunday: Mass of Thanksgiving for the recent Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. It is at 3.00 p.m. in the Church and all are welcome whether you travelled to Lourdes this year or not.
Monday: Meeting in the house at 7.00 p.m. of new members of the RCIA team who volunteered their services on the recent census form.
Thursday: Teas, coffees and biscuits have resumed in the house after 9.00 a.m. Mass. All welcome.
Saturday: Please remember in your prayers Martin Stephens and Sally Jane Carr who will be married in the Church at 3.00 p.m. May the Lord bless them and watch over them all the days of their married life.
Diary Dates:
26th August: Meeting in the Church for those new reader volunteers to learn about the role and what is involved. Existing readers are welcome to come as well to have an update and refresher course. This invitation is299 for weekday and weekend readers.
28th August: Meeting of Parish Pastoral Council at 7.00 p.m. in the house. All members of the Council please make every effort to attend for this first meeting of the new session.
3rd September: Meeting of new enquirers and R.C.I.A. team members in the house at 7.00 p.m.

R.C.I.A. Do you know anyone who might want to know more about the Catholic Faith oris thinking about becoming a Catholic? Or, are you perhaps one of these people? The R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) process will begin soon for those who wish to be received into the Church at Easter 2013.
