Sam has a question which can never be answered ‘Yes.’ ‘So do I’, said his friend Jim. How about ‘Are you a gorilla ?’ I could never answer that with a ‘Yes.’ Oh yes you could,’ said Sam, ‘but you would have to lie. The question I am thinking of could never be answered with a yes even by the most brazen liar.’ What was the question Sam had in mind ?
Answer – ‘Are you dead ?’
Alex and Georgina were born at the same hour of the same day of the same year to the same mother in the same hospital. They have the same father and yet they are not twins. Why ?
Emergency Cover while I am in Lourdes will be provided by Father Tom (449.2372), Father Tony Quinlan at St. John Ogilvie’s (453.5035). Many thanks go to all who organised and all who supported the Barbeque and Quiz last weekend. Even though the numbers were relatively small the amount raised was an incredible £437.00 for the Parish Project. It is hoped to have speakers from both strands at the end of the month or the beginning of August.
The Edinburgh Catholic Youth Group (16-35 year olds) are hosting a selection of social events this summer including a ceilidh, a BBQ, a picnic and a walk in the Pentland’s (including Mass up a hill!). This is an easy and informal way to make new friends, and you are all most welcome. To be sure not to miss out, join the Facebook group by searching ‘St Mary’s Cathedral Young Adults Group’, or contact Victoria for more details. (vs514@hotmail.com)
