Next Saturday/Sunday is kept as the World day of Prayer for Vocations. There will be a retiral collection at both Masses to help support the students currently studying for the priesthood.

11th May: Celebration of Confirmation in the Church at 7.00 p.m. Archbishop Cushley will be here to confirm the children from St. Cuthbert’s, St. John Ogilvie and St. Joseph’s. Parishioners are welcome.
16th May: Meeting for all readers and also for anyone interested in joining the team of readers who play such a key part in the celebration of our Liturgies. It is at 7.00 p.m. in the Church. Please make every effort to attend this important meeting.
21st May: Meeting for all Eucharistic Ministers at 2.30 p.m. in the Church. It will be followed by May Devotions and benediction at 4.00 p.m. Please make every effort to attend this meeting.
11th June: Annual Pilgrimage to Dunfermline in honour of St. Margaret. Pilgrims can arrive from 10.00 a.m. onwards to explore the historic sites associated with St Margaret. Guided tours will be available. A covered picnic area will also be available in the town’s Pittencrieff Park. The procession of the saint’s relics through the streets of Dunfermline will start at 2.15pm led by the Dunfermline District & Scottish Transport Regiment Pipe Band. Mass will then be celebrated in St. Margaret’s Church at 3.00 p.m. with Archbishop Cushley as the main celebrant followed by individual/family blessings with the relic.
St. Andrew’s Adoption and Foster Care: There are many children across Scotland who need stable, loving families to care for them on a long term or permanent basis. Their birth families are not able to provide the nurturing or safe environment that would allow them to flourish and become confident and well balanced adults. Help Needed: Would you like to support couples as they prepare for married life? Are you friendly and able to put others at their ease, and good at getting other people to talk about themselves? There are a few places still available for either individuals or married couples on the Prepare/Enrich facilitators training. As part of their marriage preparation, engaged couples in the Archdiocese take part in Prepare/Enrich, a well-researched and recommended relationship programme. Prepare/Enrich uses an on line questionnaire to enable the couple to look closely at their relationship, especially how they communicate, make decisions and manage conflict. The couple then meet with a trained facilitator who helps them get the most from the experience. The next facilitator’s training takes place on Sunday 11th June 2017 from 10am till 4pm at Gillis Centre 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh.
