Today: The new Altar Servers Rota is ready for collection. It comes into effect next weekend so please collect your copy today from the sacristy.
Sunday: The Coffee Morning in the Hall will be organised by the Vocations Group this week. All are welcome to the Hall after Mass.
The monthly draw for the 200 Club will take place as well.
Saturday: The Annual Christmas Fair will be held in St. Augustine’s School from 12.00 noon -2.00pm. It is free entry and there will be various stalls. All are welcome to support this event. All proceeds go back in to supporting the work of the school.
Next Saturday/Sunday the last retiral collection of the year takes place with the money going to the Diocesan Pastoral Formation Fund, a fund to help meet costs to training courses run by the Archdiocese.
Tuesday: Meeting of the Parish Fabric & Finance Committee at 7.00 p.m. in the house.
Tuesday: The next meeting of the Edinburgh Newman Circle takes place in Mayfield Salisbury Church at 7.30 p.m. when Lord James Drummond Young will speak on ”Splits, Schisms and Seceders” the story of Presbyterian Church government in Scotland. All are warmly welcome to come along. A small donation is requested.
2nd December: St. Cuthbert’s Primary School Christmas Fair in the School Hall from 10.00 a.m. – 12 noon. Craft, Tombola, Lucky Dip, Raffle, bacon rolls, stovies – what more could you want on a Saturday morning? Oh Yes, a visit from S.C.All welcome
3rd December: The Blessing of the Edinburgh Nativity scene will take place in the gardens at St. Andrew Square Gardens at 3.00 p.m. The service will be led by Archbishop Cushley. All welcome.
4th December: Meeting of St. Cuthbert’s Parish Pastoral Council at 7.00 p.m. in the house.
5th December: Meeting for the parents of the children preparing for First Reconciliation at 6.30 p.m. in the Church. Each child should be represented but the children do not need to be present.

11th December: As part of our Advent preparation Canon Dick Holuka S.T.L., M.A. will give an introductory reflection and answer questions on St. Mark’s Gospel which is the Gospel to be used in the new liturgical year which begins on the first Sunday of Advent. It is in the Church Hall at 7.00 p.m. All welcome.
November is the month when we remember those members of our families and parishioners who have died and we pray especially for them.
- The Book of Remembrance is at the back of the Church into which you can add the names of any people you wish to be remembered and who have died in the past year. If you have put names in in previous years there is no need to repeat the entry.
- The annual November Mass for the repose of the souls of all deceased parishioners, friends and families will take place on Friday 24th November (this coming Friday) at 7.00 p.m. in the Church. All are welcome to come and take part and please feel free to invite relatives and friends of parishioners who have died who may live in other parishes.
The Card Stall has the December/Advent issues of ‘Day by Day’ and Living Faith available. Please collect you copy if you have pre-ordered one.
