Today: Readers please collect your new rotas from the sacristy after Mass. They come into effect from next weekend so it is important for you to check and see if you are on duty.
Sunday: There will be no bacon rolls during the coffee morning after Mass for the time being. There will be continental style fare on offer so why not go round and see what is available. Many thanks are due to the volunteers who keep things ticking over on the Sundays during the holiday period.
Next Sunday being the first Sunday of the month we will be collecting foodstuffs for the Fresh Start Food packs. Lists are at the back of the Church in case you have forgotten what kind of materials they need.
Diary Dates:
6th August: Hall Big Clean: Volunteers welcome to come along and give the hall at 7.00 p.m. a thorough clean up before the new season starts. A lot of stuff has been gathering in various areas of the Hall and cluttered things up. There is also the aftermath of various pieces of work that have been done. If any of it belongs to you and you want it kept please box it up with your name on it otherwise it will be thrown out. Please remember no food should ever be left unboxed since it attracts mice etc.
A list is at the back of the Church on which you can sign up to help. The more volunteers there are the quicker it will take. There are still some places on the list so please don’t delay.
21st August: Meeting in the Church Hall at 7.00 p.m. for parents of children in P4 who may be eligible to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion in 2015. This is an important meeting and it is essential that each child should be represented. The children need not be present.
Holidays: If you are going away, I hope you have a safe journey and come back refreshed and relaxed. If you are staying at home, I hope you find some time to relax and take a break from your usual routine.
If you are a visitor, you are welcome to our Parish, our city and our country.
Do you know of anyone interested in becoming a member of the Church ? It may be someone from your own family, a friend, a neighbour, a work colleague. There will be a meeting in August at which more information will be available about the process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or R.C.I.A. for short. . Please watch out for the exact date.
The Parish Projects Fund from all contributions since the beginning of the year has now reached the incredible sum of £4082.82. Very many thanks to all who have helped raise this amount so far.
With every best wish and blessing to you,
your families
and all those who are dear to you
Monsignor Tony.
