Weekdays:

9.00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday)

9.30 a.m. (Friday, with school children present)

7.30 p.m. (Friday)

10.00 a.m. (Saturday)

Sunday: Meeting of the Children’s Liturgy leaders in the Hall after Mass. Anyone interested in joining the team is welcome to come along to find out what goes on.  New members will have to complete the necessary safeguarding checks and training before they can actually begin to lead the sessions.

Friday:                        Solemnity of St. Peter & St. Paul

A Holy Day of Obligation.

Masses in St. Cuthbert’s are at 9.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.

Masses in Our Lady’s are at 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.

 

Saturday: The annual St. Cuthbert’s Parish Barbeque and Quiz after the 6.00 p.m. Mass. Tickets will be £7.00 which includes two burgers and salads.  Children’s tickets will be £3.00 (same prices as last year).  These will be sale after Mass with profits going to the Parish Project Fund. Bring your own bottle (s).

Saturday/Sunday: Guess what – the last retiral collection before the holidays. (hopefully). This one is for Peter’s Pence the fund which the Pope uses to respond to various requests he receives for financial assistance.

Next Sunday the Mass in anticipation of the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage will take place in the Church at 3.00 p.m. All welcome whether travelling to Lourdes or not.

 

Diary Dates:

2nd – 6th July: New Dawn Catholic Pilgrimage Conference takes place in St Andrews, Fife from Monday 2 to Friday 6 July. More details at www.newdawninscotland.com

6th July: The Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes leaves. If you have any petitions you wish to be taken to Lourdes there will be a box at the back of the Church from next Saturday/Sunday.  Please put your intentions into a sealed envelope, marked Lourdes Petitions / Intentions.

 

The Stall has the current issue of ‘Day by Day’ covering June/July now available for collection by those of you who have it on order. Please collect your copy as soon as possible.

 

Readers  on duty this weekend please note that the first reading, responsorial psalm and second reading are taken from the Mass for the Birth of St. John the Baptist and not from the Mass for the 12th Sunday of the Year.

 

As the holiday season is now upon us will all Readers, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers please remember to ensure they have arranged cover if they are going to be away. This is especially important when a visiting priest is here to celebrate Mass.  Please use the ‘post its’ in the sacristy to let me know about any swaps you make.

 

Holidays:  If you are going away, I hope you have a safe journey and come back refreshed and relaxed.  If you are staying at home, I hope you find some time to relax and take a break from your usual routine. If you are a visitor, you are welcome to our Parish, our city and our country.
